How to Play Hide & Go Steam
Click "Start Game" to begin. A random Steam game will be selected, and you'll need to guess its name. Use the clue buttons to reveal hints progressively: Genre, Release Date, Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2, and Developer. Each clue you reveal reduces your potential score, so try to guess with as few clues as possible! The timer starts when you begin the game, and faster guesses earn more points.
Scoring System
Your score is calculated using a simple formula: start with 1000 points, subtract 100 points for each clue you reveal, and subtract 10 points for each second that passes. This means guessing the game quickly with minimal clues earns the highest score. Can you master the perfect balance between speed and knowledge?
Progressive Clue System
Genre Clue (1st)
The game's primary genre. Useful for narrowing down the category, but many games share the same genre.
Release Date (2nd)
When the game was released. Helps identify whether it's a classic title or a recent release.
Screenshots (3rd & 4th)
Visual clues from the game's store page. Often the most revealing hints for recognizing the game.
Developer (5th)
The studio that created the game. If you know your developers, this can be the final clue you need.
